Joshua King, DMD

These guys are amazing! I'm a nervous wreck when it comes to getting dental work done but they made the process comfortable for me. I highly recommend going to Josh King for your dental needs!

Dr. Josh King was raised in Oakley, UT where he fell in love with his hobbies of hunting, fishing, camping, and spending any time outdoors. He was also very active with his school’s football, basketball, and soccer teams. Upon completion of high school Dr. King completed a 2 year service mission in Ukraine where he learned to speak Russian. He then received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology with minors in Russian and Chemistry at Utah State University. He met his beautiful wife, Josie, at USU. They got married in 2014 and have since added 3 wonderful children to their family. Dr. King attended dental school at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in Louisville, KY, receiving his DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry) degree. Upon graduation in May of 2021 Dr. King spent some time working in Colorado Spring, CO as an associate dentist developing his skills and continuing to gain more education. He and his family love being back in Utah where they can enjoy all their hobbies and be near family. They love to spend their time gardening, camping, shed hunting, skiing, and following their children around to their sporting events. Next to spending time with his family, Dr. King finds joy in giving his patients confidence in their smile. He focuses on gently and painlessly providing treatment and making sure that his patients always feel heard in their dental care. Dr. King is regularly completing continuing education to learn more and be the best provider that he can be. He wants his patients to leave feeling confident in their oral health.

David Garmire, DDS

Was good as always, with kids in and out. Super friendly got all the info after my kids were all done, and my kids are super excited to always come see you guys.

Dr. David Garmire was born and raised in Roy, Utah, and is an alumnus of Roy High School. He participated in both the soccer and basketball teams during his high school years. He spent 2 years serving the people of southern California for his church. He attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas and received a Bachelor of Biological Sciences and a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from UNLV School of Dental Medicine. He was active in the Veteran’s clinic in Las Vegas, offering dental treatment to those Veteran’s in need. Dr. Garmire practiced dentistry for six years in Denver Colorado after graduating and has been practicing in his hometown for the last four years. Dr. Garmire is now excited to serve the great community of North Ogden and surrounding areas. Dr. Garmire has a busy family life with his wife, Leah, two daughters, and two sons. His kids are active with basketball, soccer, and tumbling. As a family, they enjoy traveling, hiking, and snowboarding. When Dr. Garmire is not spending time with his family, he enjoys the challenge of golf and running half marathons with his wife. Dr. Garmire enjoys being a dentist and helping patients feel confident with their oral health. He takes pride in making your visit to the dentist as comfortable as possible and is excited to meet you.

Dr. Luis Franco - Endodontist

I had a retreat root canal done yesterday, and have had zero pain afterward. Dr. Franco has the nicest bedside manner and has the greatest skills to go along with kindness. I highly recommend using him for your endodontics!

Dr. Franco is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as an officer. He received his degree in Flight Operations from Westminster College, DDS from the University of Utah and completed his residency in Endodontics at Boston University. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association and Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association. Dr. Franco has a passion for educating others about patient care and the incredibly interesting world of endodontics. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, swimming and learning how to play the piano and electric guitar.

Dr. Shaun Heward - Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon

I had oral surgery today. I had anesthesia and everything went perfectly. The whole team was great! Dr. Shaun Heward, the surgeon, is so caring and kind. He called me twice before my surgery to explain everything that would be done and to answer my questions. It really put me at ease.

Dr. Shaun Heward was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. He attended Alta High School and completed his undergraduate at University of Utah. During this time he worked as a dental laboratory technician making crowns and bridges. He then moved to Lexington, Kentucky where he completed dental school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Following dental school, he began medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School. While at the University of Michigan, he also completed his internship in general surgery, residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and was a chief resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Heward has extensive surgical training in corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), tumors/cysts of the jaws, face trauma, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, cleft lip and palate, face reconstruction and bone grafting. He is delighted to have moved back to his home state of Utah and working with Platinum Dental Services. He also has a passion for serving others abroad and continues to treat less fortunate patients on mission trips overseas. When Dr. Heward is not at work he enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, biking, shooting, gardening, wood working and cooking.

Dr. Daniel Burstein - Orthodontist

I was looking for an Orthodontist and am so glad I found Dr. Burstein! He was very nice and knew the best treatments to help me get my best smile. I would reccomend him to anyone!

Born in Santiago, Chile in 1960. My family moved to the USA in 1962. I grew up speaking both English and Spanish. We moved to California where I went to college, dental school, and orthodontic specialty school where I became an Orthodontist in 2020. My wife and I moved to Atlanta, GA in 1993 where we raised 3 boys who are now all out of the house. I have owned and operated my orthodontic practice in Atlanta since 1995. I recently sold my office to join Platinum. I have years of experience in managing an orthodontic practice both in clinical and administrative areas. I am proficient in all clinical aspects of orthodontic care. I specialize in expanders, habit appliances, braces, bite correctors, in house aligners using Orchestrate 3D software, as well as invisalign. My goal is to join a dental/orthodontic group where I can concentrate on providing treatment to patients in need. I joined Platinum because I aim to provide care to those in need without the distraction of running a private practice. I also look forward to enjoying more professional interactions and participation in more interdisciplinary orthodontic treatment plans.
