David Flynn, DDS

I’ve come multiple times to the office and am so impressed! I’m seriously so grateful for Dr Flynn and his team. They are fun and personable but also know that they are doing.

David Flynn, DDS, is a highly skilled dentist who provides exceptional general dentistry services with a focus on technical surgical procedures. He currently serves patients of all ages at Dental After Hours in Bountiful, Utah. Dr. Flynn majored in chemistry at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois, and graduated from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City with a major in predental. He was accepted early to dental school at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2000. After graduating, Dr. Flynn completed an internship at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. He’s also studied at the WhiteCap Institute for dental implant training in Heber City, Utah. He’s a member of the Utah Dental Association, the South Davis Dental Association, and the South Davis Dentist Partnership. He’s certified in CPR and is also an Eagle Scout with three palms. Dr. Flynn practices a conservative approach to dentistry. He never recommends treatments unless he knows for sure that a patient’s oral health will benefit from them. He also takes the time to make personal connections with his patients, educating them on their conditions and treatment options and making them generally more comfortable and relaxed during their time in the chair. Dr. Flynn also believes in making high-quality dentistry accessible to everyone. He knows that busy work and school schedules make it difficult to see a dentist during regular office hours, which is why he operates Dental After Hours during more convenient times: 11am-8pm Monday through Thursday, and 9am-6pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday every other weekend. When he’s not working with patients at Dental After Hours, Dr. Flynn likes to play soccer, hike, and go on adventures with his three awesome children.

David Garmire, DMD

Was good as always, with kids in and out. Super friendly got all the info after my kids were all done, and my kids are super excited to always come see you guys.

Dr. David Garmire was born and raised in Roy, Utah, and is an alumnus of Roy High School. He participated in both the soccer and basketball teams during his high school years. He spent 2 years serving the people of southern California for his church. He attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas and received a Bachelor of Biological Sciences and a Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from UNLV School of Dental Medicine. He was active in the Veteran’s clinic in Las Vegas, offering dental treatment to those Veteran’s in need. Dr. Garmire practiced dentistry for six years in Denver Colorado after graduating and has been practicing in his hometown for the last four years. Dr. Garmire is now excited to serve the great community of North Ogden and surrounding areas. Dr. Garmire has a busy family life with his wife, Leah, two daughters, and two sons. His kids are active with basketball, soccer, and tumbling. As a family, they enjoy traveling, hiking, and snowboarding. When Dr. Garmire is not spending time with his family, he enjoys the challenge of golf and running half marathons with his wife. Dr. Garmire enjoys being a dentist and helping patients feel confident with their oral health. He takes pride in making your visit to the dentist as comfortable as possible and is excited to meet you.

Dr. Luis Franco - Endodontist

I had a retreat root canal done yesterday, and have had zero pain afterward. Dr. Franco has the nicest bedside manner and has the greatest skills to go along with kindness. I highly recommend using him for your endodontics!

Dr. Franco is a veteran of the United States Navy where he served as an officer. He received his degree in Flight Operations from Westminster College, DDS from the University of Utah and completed his residency in Endodontics at Boston University. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontics, the American Dental Association, the Utah Dental Association and Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association. Dr. Franco has a passion for educating others about patient care and the incredibly interesting world of endodontics. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, reading, swimming and learning how to play the piano and electric guitar.

Dr. Shaun Heward - Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon

I had oral surgery today. I had anesthesia and everything went perfectly. The whole team was great! Dr. Shaun Heward, the surgeon, is so caring and kind. He called me twice before my surgery to explain everything that would be done and to answer my questions. It really put me at ease.

Dr. Shaun Heward was born and raised in Sandy, Utah. He attended Alta High School and completed his undergraduate at University of Utah. During this time he worked as a dental laboratory technician making crowns and bridges. He then moved to Lexington, Kentucky where he completed dental school at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. Following dental school, he began medical school at the University of Michigan Medical School. While at the University of Michigan, he also completed his internship in general surgery, residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and was a chief resident in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Heward has extensive surgical training in corrective jaw surgery (orthognathic surgery), tumors/cysts of the jaws, face trauma, dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, cleft lip and palate, face reconstruction and bone grafting. He is delighted to have moved back to his home state of Utah and working with Platinum Dental Services. He also has a passion for serving others abroad and continues to treat less fortunate patients on mission trips overseas. When Dr. Heward is not at work he enjoys camping, fishing, hunting, biking, shooting, gardening, wood working and cooking.

Dr. Michael Reid - Orthodontist

Dr. Reid is an excellent orthodontist who truly listens and explains everything clearly. His friendly approach and attention to detail made my experience easy and comfortable. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Reid grew up in a family of six children, in Irvine, California. After serving a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Fort Worth Mission, he attended Brigham Young University. Upon graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in Nutritional Science, Dr. Reid attended the number one dental school in the country: the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. While at Michigan, he had the privilege to travel to Africa to provide dental services and oral health education to the underserved adolescent population of rural Kenya. Immediately following dental school, Dr. Reid moved to the deep south to complete a hospital-based residency program for an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Reid then moved to Georgia to complete his orthodontic specialty training at the Georgia School of Orthodontics. In his free time, you can find Dr. Reid spending plenty of time outdoors. He is an avid and competitive soccer player, frequent hiker, and aggressive snowboarder. He loves golfing, going to the beach, playing the guitar, and rooting for BYU and Michigan sports teams. Dr. Reid is married to his lovely wife, Lauren, and together they have five beautiful children—three girls and two boys.

Dr. Vanessa Bikhazi - Periodontist

Vanessa Bikhazi is fantastic! She’s professional, kind, and always makes sure I feel comfortable during my visits. Highly recommend her!

Dr. Vanessa Bikhazi received her Doctor of Dental Surgery followed by a 3 year specialty degree in Periodontology from New York University. She performed research investigating conditions resulting in osteonecrosis of the jaw with an article published by Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology Journal. Dr Bikhazi believes in oral health and how the oral cavity is interconnected with the health of her patients. She is passionate about educating her patients on periodontal disease and how conditions of the mouth can influence the health outcomes of the body. She enjoys time with her husband and pets. She also enjoys traveling, skiing and movies. She loves to spend time with her family.
